I'd say it's better to have them when you're in a low place.
That's why I'm so grateful for the ones I have. Beautiful souls, each and every one of them. (Including the ones no longer in my life. They've shaped me into the person I am today, and stuck by me through a lot. I'll never forget that - or them.)
Here are two gals that are (luckily) still in my life.

Matilda, to the left, is the supremely talented silver smith with the great sense of humour (as wacky, random and sometimes childish) as mine. Super sweet Camilla, to the right, you all probably already know since she's one of the world's most talented scrappers. And I'm NOT just saying that.
