(Sometimes I WILL see that show from the beginning to the end and not just random episodes here & there, like I've done up til now.)
Anyhow. This photo wasn't exactly taken last week. Not last month or even last year, either. Actually, I'm not exactly sure which sumer it WAS taken... Thus the missing number. I'll add it when I know.
(88 or 89? I know it was the summer when I spent a lot of time studying, catching up for the class I was about to skip. ...but was I 8 or 9? Going on 9 or 10? Hmmm...)
This is 3/4 of the Peterson family. My dad, me - with the oh-so-sexy mullet and the binoculars - and my sister.
(If you add the photographer, it's all of us, because my mother took the picture.)
We spent a week on an island, as the live-in-guards/guides. It was one AMAZING week, and I have tons of stories. Like the time when we bumped into a bunch of people and asked them if they needed a guide, because that was part of the job working in a natural preserve. The ginormous dude in the front (not very friendly man, I might add) told us that he was pretty sure that The KING knew his way around. And yes, he made very sure that the emphasis of the sentence was on "The King".
Bah. Come on. Were we really supposed to instantly recognize the leasurely clad man with the kid on his shoulders as the king of Sweden? Maybe we were. We didn't. But it sure made a fun story.
(I might add that the king himself was very nice and chatted a while with my dad and us. It was just his life guard that had no sense of humour. ;))
I'm gonna stop right there, though - or it'll take a week to get through the stories, alone.
Instead... Here's the layout:

I made this using the Nook February kit, tons of October Afternoon/Sasparilla - and the October Afternoon Thursday sketch. :)

I love to scrap old photos. I always feel a little bad too, not knowing the year, never mind the exact date, lol. But I figure better out on a scrap page than tucked away in a box somewhere. Love the layout Z.
