Okay. I admit.
I saw American Psycho once, a long time ago, and while I do NOT appreciate movies about killing for fun, I could not stop laughing at the scene where Bale prances around in a rain coat, singing Huey Lewis' praises while arranging his axe for the upcoming murder...
(And it MIGHT have had something to do with the fact that they actually gave enough clues that I was pretty much certain that it was all .. less real than it seemed.)
Anyhow. Hip to be square. I once, back in the day, when I just started out scrapbooking (so - in 2006 or something?) made an LO with that title.
This weekend, on Scraplagret's CC, there is a challenge with that exact name. Hip to be square. The idea is to make an LO with mostly squares. Not easy. At all. Starting with the fact that I scrap a4. Not exactly square.
But I tried.
Here's the result:
Bazzill white OP
Pattern papers: Lily Bee
Stamps: Inkadinkado & office outlet (the date stamp)
Flowers: Petaloo and some turquoise ones from my drawer
Bling from You Do
Butterfly punch: Martha Stewart
Distress inks, mini mister, Glossy Accents & stickles from Ranger
Alpha from American Crafts
Here be squares:
3 pattern paper squares behind/beside the photos.
The photos were sewn in a square.
I stamped squares by and diagonally around the papers/photos.
The title is square'ish (thanks to the brackets).
I printed the journaling out onto a square and tried placing the strips back in a square.
I don't know if I'll be disqualified. I might be. Tons of other elements going on, I admit that. Buuuuuut... I had FUN and it got my inspiration going, so no matter what, I'm happy!
...and I might also have gotten a VERY fun email the other day. One that made me go all bouncy and giddy. I miiight. But there's no telling, for sure... ;)
Go on now. Go make yourself a wonderful day!
I'm sure you deserve it.
